Women Comedians And Funny Gemini Energy

Women Comedians: Curious, Funny and Relatable Gemini Energy

Being a comedian goes beyond spitting jokes. It takes skill, flexibility, and, most of all, courage to put yourself out there. Researching and gathering material means you’re on point with current events, trends and lingo. You’re a magician at storytelling, you can make fun of yourself and relating to your audience is a must. But the one obvious thread connecting each comedian is the desire to talk. If there’s one sign that likes to talk, it’s Gemini. When I did a bit of probing into the past and the hot talents of today, it seems one of the key elements stitching the fabric of funny women in the biz is, in fact, the twin energy strong in their chart.

Here’s what I found:

Women Comedians: Curious, Funny and Relatable Gemini EnergyTina Fey (click on their name to be redirected to their charts)

A former member of the SNL family and the hit comedy series 30 Rock, Fey is known for her witty and sarcastic delivery. With a harmonious blend of Mars and Venus in Gemini, she has excellent timing. She knows when to listen, step back and when to move forward and express herself. Being in her 11th House of social circles, she’s likely surrounded by many friends, received well, understands social cues and is observant—inherently interactive, relatable Gemini vibe.

While she knows how to put on a show, having Mercury in Taurus reflects an additional flow of communication and being in the moment. Mercury and Venus are each other’s planet depositors. Couple that with her Sun in Taurus in the 10th, she has made a career from her observations, experiences, goals and purpose— defined by her comedy and Gemini traits. She wrote and directed Mean Girls based on her life experiences(Gemini) in high school, her relationship with her mother and her sketch comedy days before she rose to stardom.

Amy Poehler

Fey’s famous friendship with fellow SNL comedian, author, director, writer and producer Amy Poehler has landed the duo to co-host the Golden Globes thrice. A fellow earthy Sun, Poehler strives in Virgo consistency and attention to detail. Her 4th House Saturn in Gemini shows a foundation in comedy. According to Wikipedia, her father(Saturn) encouraged her to break protocols and take risks. She’s run the gamut in the comedy circles starting comedy troupes and theatre collabs.

She has a kite formation released by Jupiter and Neptune in Sagittarius. The released energy of the air trine with Uranus, Mars and Saturn endows her natural abilities in communicative expression, reflective in different areas of comedy in which she’s skilled (variety shows, film, tv shows). Her inherent talents as a funny person were meant to shine and take off.

Joan Rivers

Gemini to her very bits, the late Joan Rivers had her Gemini Sun, Mercury and Venus in the 3rd house. With an inherent disposition in communication, it is perfect for her chatty and expressive mind. Mercury and Venus are at the anorectic degree, which impels her to communicate without a filter. Nothing holds her back from saying how it is, supported by her Moon in Sagittarius in the 9th House. Her 1st Uranus in Aries gave her that edge and uniqueness which her comedic career banked on.

The notoriety she was known for, which got her into much trouble, was the hot blazing energy that positioned her in a male-dominated arena at the time in comedy. Candid Rivers covered pre-marital sex, abortion, and life’s woes. With considerable challenges, she jumped through many hoops to prevail. Saturn in Aquarius shows how hard she’s had to work, the efforts made to win favour with her peers.

The trine to her Gemini Sun gave her motivation and a knack for writing her own narrative, as she was known to twist stories and rewrite history. Overall, the inequalities she faced back in her day as a woman in a male dominant field must have fueled her fire with her Sun conjunct Lilith. It definitely signified her unabashed cruel, and darker comedic style.

Tiffany Haddish

Haddish is a natural-born storyteller with her Sun in Sagittarius and Moon in Gemini. Her expressive Moon in the 5th house is nourished by stage performance, a unique creative identity. Like Joan Rivers’ Moon conjunct Lilith, her Gemini Moon illuminates her raunchy, disarming style and casually perfect delivery.

With Mercury in Scorpio in the 10th House, her path reveals a desire to express and share her uniqueness, talents and ideas with the world. The characters she plays, along with commentary on social, political and sexual issues, are displayed in a colourfully twisted humour with Mercury conjunct Uranus in Scorpio. Her disarming vibes have landed her a guest host spot for the Ellen Show.

The road to get to stardom meant numerous transformations, relying on the help of others and overcoming crises. Haddish lived the starving artist life. She lived in her car— the Capricorn ascendant sacrificed material desires to reach long-term goals. With the support of her Scorpio mental endurance, perhaps without worry, she was tapped into her grand earthy trine, manifesting earthly things eventually. But it is her typically Gemini trait that hailed her in a variety of comedic performances, which ultimately won her a Grammy and an Emmy.

Margaret Cho

Margaret Cho licks up the Gemini flavour with stand-up, acting, activism, recording artist, author, host, dancer, and fashion designer with her own clothing line. She’s also deputized to perform marriages and has been honoured with a day of celebration in San Francisco—Margaret Cho Day.

She inherently likes to keep things light, intellectualized and detached with her Moon in Gemini. Combined with her Sagittarius Sun and Rising, she finds humour in life’s events, especially her own–she’s known for her self-deprecating humor. She’s also known for being blunt and crass with Sagittarius Mercury and Sun in her 1st House. Cho is a natural storyteller, experiencing the world with her Gemini eyes and voice.

Jennifer Lawrence

Blonde and just as vulgar as Schumer,  J. Law knows how to win an audience. Like Haddish and Rivers, she has her Moon and Rising in the Axis of Sagittarius and Gemini. She blurts out pretty much whatever is on her mind. After she jokingly said at a Cannes press junket that one of her co-stars was dead, J. Law was advised to take media training. Not just afraid to say it as it is, her vulgarity and witty traits spill over in different characters she’s played in various film genres.

Law is relatable—very Geminian and her natural presence in performance, channelling characters from everyday situations (Joy, Book of Silver Linings), has won her accolades, including an Oscar and a Golden Globe at a young age.

Amy Schumer

A woman who has made a career from her raunchy, self-deprecating sexual life, Amy Schumer has also coped with her childhood tragedies. Her Sun in Gemini has channelled and established her woes into work with the trine to Saturn and Jupiter in Libra. She has Uranus conjunct Lilith in Scorpio, explaining her deviant, paradoxically authentic sexual material. Venus in Gemini trine Pluto in Libra makes her comfortable expressing raw and grotesque risqué content.

Honorables

Goldie Hawn

With her slapstick, girl-next-door comedy, the blond bombshell has entertained boomers for three decades. She’s a natural, fun, entertaining presence with her Moon in Gemini.

Lucille Ball

The redhead comedian starred in her own show I Love Lucy for six years in the 50s. She has Pluto in Gemini in her 6th house of work, trines her Libra 10th House career. She played an animated character that revolved around life as a housewife and her relationship with her husband.

Emma Stone

Another redhead, and just as quirky and talented, is Emma Stone. She rose to fame in films like SuperBad and played a witty and charming character in Easy. Her Jupiter in Gemini trines her Venus and Moon in Libra. Equipped with a natural and easy delivery, her Mercury is also in the 3rd house with Sun conjunct Pluto in Scorpio.

Amanda Bynes

Amanda Bynes was a child comedic star with her comedy series, “The Amanda Show.” She played most of the characters, expressing her versatile Gemini Ascendent and showing us her talents in slapstick comedic performance.

Awkwafina

Like Margaret Cho, the rachet and brazen Awkwafina is true to her Sun and Venus in Gemini. She started her comedy career from being a Youtube star as a comedian, rapper, author and tv host personality.

Maya Rudolph

Rudolph has show business in her blood. Her father is a music producer, and her late mother was a 70’s songstress. She’s known for her quirky characters and for emulating Beyonce on SNL. She has Venus in Gemini trine moon in Aquarius. Venus conjunct Saturn (she’s made a career out of it) and is opposite Jupiter in Sagittarius. The aspect is a feel-good, witty, always-up-for-anything energy that sparks joy and childish play.

Kristen Wiig

Wiig is known for her antics, different shades of the hilarious and off-beat characters she’s written and played in SNL. She  has also starred in a handful of comedic films. Her humorous spirit reflects her Moon in Gemini sextile Leo Sun and trine quirky Uranus in Libra.
