Balance is Queen: How Pluto In Libra In My 4th House Grounds Me
The happiest people lead balance lives.
This post is the second part of how I ground my circuitous Gemini energy.
After discovering my north node code in the sign of Virgo, at the cusp of my 4th fourth house position, the house of self and origins has since been a place of sanctuary. It’s a place that allows me to deflate, collect my thoughts and flush unwanted energy I’ve picked up outside. Because I didn’t understand—a result from evading and fear—that my 4th house meant getting to know where I came from and what I want, it’s taken more than a few years to embrace this personal section in my chart. In turn, my natural insatiable curious, impressionable energy, placed a grand canyon to my centre. Now that I have discovered the refreshing feeling and potency my 4th house can give me, I’ve made it a point to routinely check-in on myself and assess what to trash and what to hold with value. By doing this, the scales of my life stays balance.
For so long I’ve had Pluto in Libra in my 4th house linger in my mind. Mostly fearing it. Wherever Pluto is found in your natal chart is where there’s potential blocked energy. A powerful force eventually detonating one way or another.
Personally, it felt like a presence in the form of a brooding dark shadow, standing by a door, waiting for me to enter while schemes were planned to do me over. An unsettling image right? More so, since it’s in a very vulnerable position in my chart. But the more I came to visit, the closer I inched up, the less the fear was felt. Since it represented the unknown, the shadow seemed more fearsome from afar. In reality, it was my buried past and the things I didn’t want to deal with. Forgotten, it had haunted me to be released. For years, my ghostly past was reigning my house of comfort and refuge, keeping me further away from what was rightfully mine. When I finely had the courage to confront its hold on me, the fear disappeared. Best of all, I alchemized my 4th house contents, my ancestral roots into its potentials. It was a process which forced me to bring the old and decayed for examination, to determine what should finally be laid to rest or salvaged. This fertilized my foundation for future seeds.
I was finally owning my 4th house. I finally became the rightful queen to my fortress, a place I could go to recharge whenever I felt physically and psychically drained from the outside world.

Aside from Pluto meaning death and renewal in my 4th house, it has become key factor to my sense of well being. Pluto in the sign of Libra tells me when I’ve gone to extremes. There’s a rejection meter, I innately feel whenever I’m out of balance. When I work myself too hard—mentally, physically or spiritually, I know when it’s time to refuel so to avoid going bonkers. When I eat too much, or when Jupiter in my 2nd house goes overboard with little shiny things, I know better than to keep the gas on the pedal. In actuality, this gives me a sense of satisfaction. An internal barometer measuring what I need and don’t need. With the help of my Virgo north node screaming from other parts of the natal neighbourhood to Pluto, I can prioritize and make informed decisions.
Pluto in Libra also sextiles Mercury in Sag in my 6th house, also affecting my conjuncting Neptune, elements in my chart that have somewhat often been a hazy part of me. It’s fitting considering my mind (Mercury) sits with deceptive, imaginary Neptune. I explore many worlds, both outside and inside myself, essential to a creative writer. I can drift away so far from my centre that my 4th house becomes that much more of a life saver. Whenever I have come back from a long and far exploration, the solitude it gives me, restores my sense of self and the reasons for my long journeys. The life line is also attached by a trine to my Gemini Ascendent, the captain of the ship. When my Gemini social searcher looks for answers or is chasing a curiosity, Pluto in Libra in my 4th is the necessary compass, deflecting delusions or invasive energy. It directs me back to my powerful core, weighing the scales back to equilibrium.

Difficult at times and always unsettling. It’s the combination of being tired all the time and not having to know where the emotional intensity is coming from. Whenever May and June roll around, I know it’s going to be the least productive times for me. This is when my Mars and Sun travel in theR

If a season astrologer were to first meet me, they’d likely guess my Ascendent was at the cusp of the twins.
