Dating A Pisces and Why You Should Stay Away
Dating a Pisces and why you should stay away from them, but what can ultimately make them a fantastic mate.
Forget about the thoughts in your mind. Forget about the air you breathe. Allow things to flow like you would if your body was immersed and suspended in water. Let go, merge with the ocean and just BE, if you want to get to know your Pisces person.
Being in the presence of a Pisces can cause a state of confusion. A mesmerizing sensation to witness all faculty of thought dissolve into the ethers. Yet, simultaneously, there is a willingness to surrender to the elated warmth in which you’re covered.
A subtle powerful energy sliding between a thin line of madness and euphoria, I have found in the 20+ years of practicing astrology that most Pisces don’t operate at their optimal frequency (unless you’re inspirational speaker Abraham Hicks). For this reason, the infamous Piscean trait of illusion can become problematic.
As beguiling as the elusive water-nymphs, there is a hidden truth about them. Living in two worlds simultaneously, they have one foot in the spiritual world and the other in reality. Some have shunned one world for the other. But as the phrase goes, “you can take them out of the ocean, but you can’t take the ocean out of the Pisces.” Naturally compelled to express their creativity, there is always a need to connect to their imaginative world, to others and the divine. Which can be a tricky game for the sensitive energy.
Similar to Geminis, they are chameleons, transforming to cater to changing situations. However, unlike the Twins, the need to impress is motivated by a deep need to feel accepted, to feel safe. As with any of the signs in the zodiac, accomplishing that mission can be pursued from a low or high vibrating stance. This post was written to help you understand how to deal with Piscean energy, the red flags to look out for, why you should stay away from them and what can ultimately make them a fantastic mate.
Pisces Inherent Traits
The inherent trait of Pisces is the acceptance of all. A belief that life is made up of interconnected parts of the whole, and we are all an expression of the divine. By this notion, the watery element is considered to express the highest form of love. An ideal held true by most Pisces, which consequently comes crashing down in reality. Symbolic of the two fish in opposite direction, it’s a hard fall that can often set up confusion. Physically living in reality, while the ideal is set in some illusory world.
Despite the awareness of the world’s imperfection, they see their fellow humans as beautiful creations worthy of forgiveness, participating in the divine cosmic dynamic. A general Pisces passive stance is a boundless type of love expressed by flowing to the twists and turns of life.
They uphold an ideal that may never be fulfilled.
Some move in unity to all life without knowing the baggage of resentment they carry. While for others, the debris from ill experiences, sees the world behind a gauzy lens. The former will project their own expectations onto the world in disappointment and in a state of defence. It is an approach framed by the disappointment of an ideal. The latter will project it through constant states of illusion and deception. An escape to the nether regions of imagination to live out that ideal.
It can also be a mixture of both—one direction more dominant.
Though it is expressed on a spectrum enabled by experience, love continues to resonate in their hearts.
Communicated on high vibration, they have aligned to a creative outlet. They commune with the divine through artistic expression. Most artists are strongly influenced by Piscean or Piscean type of energy (Neptune, 12th house)
A lower vibrating Pisces energy is the warped individual lost to his own sea of bad experiences. An idealism lost in choppy waters, with no land in sight. Forever drifting, finding illusions to keep safe can sometimes be projected onto partners.
Red Flags
First, understand if you’ve been cloaked under their gauzy net. Things may not be as they appear. As charming individuals, with psychic abilities, they sense your needs and the subtly of your energy. To keep the peace, to uphold an ideal, they will bend to you. If a Pisces admiration has instantly placed you on a pedestal, don’t get too comfortable in that elevated position. You are bound to come down. How fast and hard the drop depends on how much illusion you are prone to yourself.
Rising Sign
The good news is that they will be sensitive to your needs and considerate of your viewpoint. You have been given the right of way to be yourself. Whether it is a genuine act of character depends on the stage they’ve set up for you as their audience. Presenting themselves in an artful dance through life, they are the entertainers, with a sense of magic to their steps.
The soles of their feet hardly touch the ground. Fluttering in a delicate motion, in sinuous tones, Pisces is the essence of shapeless, non-matter. An enigma you can’t quite put your finger on. And, if you’re tuned in, the most optimal way to enjoy their presence is to ride the beautiful, endless, cinematic score, which can become temporary relief from reality.
Cranked up, louder and in your face, the beat changes with a fire expression in their chart. A Pisces energy with a fire rising comes with a faster tempo. The earthy rising signs can feel more solid, a heavy bass, impactful with its grounded energy. Airy energy can feel like music from the ethers. A Space Odyssey soundtrack. More water element gives you a sense of their psychic ability of penetration. A hum that can feel inseparable from your existence.
However, to stumble upon a lower vibrating Piscean type, notes can slowly send you off to outer space, drifting, having you keep up with unpredictable jazzy beat or an endless buzz of confusion. The enigmatic notes of a Pisces can help you forget about all worries or send you down an abyss of uncertainty, hissing in emotional flux and never knowing where the dreamy landscape begins and ends.
Sun Sign
If you’ve found yourself humming along to the Pisces vibe, been pulled in to the mesmerizing sounds, you’ll start to feel the warmth of their Sun. Rays shining directly above the door of their Ascendant as a warm invitation. If it is in Pisces, the ego connects purpose to unity and beauty. Creativity imprints their soul, an artistic expression to cultivate ego.
Their Sun can burn even brighter, with a rising in the fire element. A mix of earth signs helps contain the energy into shape. The innate elusiveness of the fish is better grasped into definition. They thrive and blossom in earthly structures. As idealists, dramatists and dreamers, their heads can often be stuck in the clouds, characterizing flightiness and a self-involved type of energy. Mixed with a touch of airy vapours can aid a break out from their timid nature, open their inner world to others. This also applies if they have dominant Pisces energy, with their natal Sun in other signs.
Moon Sign
If their ocean’s tides have gotten you closer to their Moon, you’ll soon discover it waxes to the harmonious melody of life or wanes in great sensitivity. There is a sense of dread and beauty about the Moon in Pisces. Having a natural bent to create magic from their vast imagination, their emotions are equally boundless and can have them act irrationally or fluctuate in mood—predisposing your mate to deceptive responses.
A feeling drenched in psychic energy, your Piscean mate sways to the moods of the environment. Unlike the intense watery Scorpio energy, its keen sense of intuition is subtle. Like a fish detecting danger in water, they aim to please to negate conflict and keep the seas tranquil. They operate from an objective sensibility on high vibration, in full awareness and discernment. On a selfishly lower vibe, keeping the peace is a way to avoid reality and create illusions to feed their ideal.
Venus Sign
The boundless love of Pisces can wreak havoc on themselves. Venus is said to express its highest vibration through the sign of Pisces. A desire for harmony and peace at all costs, even if it means sacrificing their own happiness. Avoiding conflict and truth is the irony that sets them down a terrible nightmare when the illusions eventually fade. Giving in, bending, sacrificing too much potentially leads to a loss of self.
Something has to give. It is commonly the Pisces’ already fragile self, which breaks down to confusion.
Irony at its best…
Referring back to the opposite direction of the two fish and the motivation of acceptance, they have sacrificed their own needs to find acceptance and peace. Instead of peace, they have created chaos. Compensation is necessary to keep others happy and not lose their sense of self.
They can become clandestine about actions. Taking the form of escapes, addictions, extramarital affairs, Pisces seek out the happiness they have surrendered. Acting in deceptive and escapist behaviour to maintain the ideal can be the extreme response.
The mild versions can lack structure, respect for time and priorities. In other words, they are known to promise you the world, but never really follow through. Pisces can be brutally unreliable. The next minute, they can easily forget a promise made.
A boundless love felt like a fairytale story in the making, the real-life narrative can turn disastrous, dragging you down illusions and towards a shipwreck ending. Enough of the wish-washy behaviour will eventually break trust and sustainability in your relationship.
By calling them out and demanding accountability, then can Venus in Pisces genuinely express the highest form of love. Asserting truth, no matter how difficult that may be. In other words, being with your Venus in Pisces person will sometimes require a balance. It will be about helping them remove their rose-coloured glasses when necessary while having your own hand to join them in their imaginative world.
The enigmatic Pisces energy is one to behold. If you’re into a bit of fairytale magic, a lyrical step to the notes of life, you’ve captured yourself a perfect mate. That is if you can deal with an energy that can sometimes veer off the musical bar, and turn discordantly maddening.
If you can float through life, let the sails of your relationship be directed by the changing tides, there is excellent potential to hear the calm breeze moving in the reflection of their ocean’s glittering tranquility. It can be a dip in warm waters, exhilarating and releasing tensions from your soul. Being in the company of a Pisces can feel like a beautiful song or a movie to relieve you from the mundane world.
