Cancer New Moon July 20 2020

The New Moon lights up in the energy of the subjective, sensitive & emotionally-ridden sign of Cancer. In its home sign & considering the nature of the combination, the Moon’s potency heightens our internal needs in a certain area of life. Which can turn conflicting—likely on a personal level, as it contends with the constricting, cold planet Saturn, currently in Capricorn.  It will feel like a wagging finger telling us to be patient & to suck it up. Which can come from other parts of ourselves or from others, pulling you to question internal desires, causing frustration, even self-inadequacy.

Saturn, however, is always looking out for our best interest. In this case, setting boundaries & discipline & forcing us to look at our internal needs with reason. The Moon is our irrational, feeling self—our past patterns, our comforts & to an extent what we want instantly gratified. Which can cause a sense of unfairness, childish reactions with the Saturn limitation & tension. Saturn encourages us to question our desires & if it will do us well in the long run.

The Moon is also about the mother, while Saturn symbolizes the father. Both authoritarian in nature, it will be about being our own parent by combining heart & mind, by having emotional understanding with a mature perspective. With Saturn involve it could mean giving ourself tough love.

The positive is that Saturn is retrograde, its duty is directed internally. Wherever the energy is transiting in our chart, it is in touch with the emotional, personal Cancerian parts of ourselves. Making it easier to grasp the balance between internal needs with logic & detachment. With Pluto & Jupiter energy close by, dig deep, transform what you can, have faith, and channel some optimism.

(As for manifesting under this New Moon) Combining the light of the Cancer Sun & the best parts of the conflicting energies, you can become the best version of a shaping parent—rooted in emotion & reason—to your new seeds of intentions, giving it that healthy growth of balance, thriving in the coming weeks & potentially through the years.
