Mercury in Sagittarius Dec 9 – 27 2019

Our mind moves from the eagle eye of Scorpio to the mosaic lens of Sagittarius, as Mercury moves into the Archer sign on the 9th. An influence that can expand our thought process, have us take on philosophical views. Best of all, it’s a good dose of the enthusiastic Sag energy in an area of life. Take note, however, Mercury is forced to slow down in Sag. The sprite Messenger can feel agitated, even overwhelmed.

Mercury is details, the quick-thinking and moving planet, with a quicksilver tongue. Sagittarius is about the broad scopes and strokes, with eyes set on the horizon. The two are at opposite ends of energy, Mercury being the ruler of Gemini.

A deluge of views, and directions can get interesting but easily turn into a head mess. Think of it as having the compound eye of a fly, said to have about 4000 lens, it has a broad field of vision.

The downfall being no focus with poor resolution. This transit can send our thoughts in different directions simultaneously. We can often miss the details, become easily confused.

Fortunately, Mars is still strong in Scorpio, an energy we can count on for the entirety of the month. We can use the passions of action and drive to focus and centre. Saturn in Capricorn can help limit, restrain and cut out the unnecessary. You can also tap into your own fixed energy to ground the flux of ideas and avoid distraction.

Sourcing more stable & steady energy will help us align better with the higher vibrations of Mercury in Sagittarius. It’s an all seeing eye, with 360 vision. It’s a chance to view things from all angles, including the lens of others, to allow positive light to filter in, helping to broaden our minds in at least one area of life.
