Miley Cyrus Astrological Birth Chart
Miley Cyrus Birth Chart Analysis: Deep Love, Creativity and Inevitable Transformation and Evolution
They say it is through a persons eyes in which we can see the window of their soul. In Destiny Hope Cyrus’ case, those crystal blue panes beam of the optimistic Sagittarius Sun. A quality she’s since reflected as a baby, earning her the name Miley for always being so smiley.
But true to crystals having multiple facets, so do the reflection of Cyrus’ eyes, one that speaks of the depth and power of self-identity & creativity, the connected relationship themes and the inevitable transformation & evolutions involved.
At first glance at her chart, it’s obvious that her life is thematic of relationships.
Not only does she have Taurus as her ascendent—making Venus(the relationship planet) her chart ruler—the thematic energy in her life, she also has planets clustered in her 7th house(the relationship house). With 3 native cosmic bodies, two of which are her luminaries, the third being Mercury, all sitting with Pluto in the sign of Scorpio, it is no doubt an intense ride for Cyrus when it comes to partnerships. Jupiter adds to the theme by being in the sign of Libra, also known for relationships, which sits in the 5th house of romantic partners, and comes into some challenges with Venus in Capricorn in her intimate house of the 8th.
Relationships and Deep Love
All five elements connected to relationships in a birth chart are activated!

On an earthly, physical plane, Venus is about being in touch with the five senses. She rules the realm of physical pleasure and this means the comforts of material wealth, looking good and exhibiting it physically, as first house ruler. Miley definitely rocks Venus in appearance, with her luxe for life and refined taste for fashion. Liam Hemsworth once described her as having a taste for rich Venusian things, comparing it to his own modest style.
Her natal Venus is in Capricorn in the depths of the 8th house. This adds a level of class, discernment and tradition in all things Venus. Though she deeply values the past, strongly attaches to structures and to a sense of responsibility, Uranus and Neptune color her values a different shade all on her own. The triple conjunction adds a rebellious and progressive streak to her Venus nature, one that is frilled in drama, glamour and fantasy. As an artist her music can still be rooted to country, while her style continually explores into and experiments with different genres.
“Cyrus grew up around country musicians like her father and her godmother, Dolly Parton, and you can still hear it in her voice today. “Her tone is so identifiable,” Grande says. “With your eyes closed, you know it’s Miley.” Pharrell, who has worked with Cyrus since 2013, says: “When she sings, you feel so many of those classic textures and classic ways of delivering a song.” (1)
“For Cyrus, working on being self-made took the form of experimenting with other, more personal forms—not dodging the spotlight, exactly, but redirecting it, going in and out of touch with the world. Ronson recalls texting with her in this period: she’d go three weeks between messages, then send back a single emoji. In 2015, she made Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz, a loose, semi-psychedelic rock album she recorded with the Flaming Lips and released for free on SoundCloud.”(1)
Capricorn is ruled by the work-oriented, ambitious Saturn. With her natal Saturn siting at home in her 10th house of career and status, it’s been an effortless public display of her Venus values and creativity. Venus also represents art, refined beauty, as well as finance. Being in her 8th house, what Venus symbolizes sits deep within her, empowers her. It’s a combination of potent star power, due to her stellium of strong work ethic Capricorn planets in a deeply intuitive and a financially resourceful part of her life.
The theme of relationships is further amplified by the expansive planet himself Jupiter. This happens in two different ways from two different areas of her life.
Creative Self-Identity and Expression

Jupiter in Libra makes a nice trine to Saturn in Aquarius, in her 10th house of career. Jupiter, being in her 5th house supports creativity, gives her expanded luck and opportunity in self-expression, self-realization/identity. With the Saturn trine, it gives this area of creativity a balance of responsibility, structure, what needs to be done, prioritizing the important things. Her career and creativity flow well together, giving her the realistic template to materialize her visions. Unlike most tween stars who have attempted to break out from their innocent childhood personas, Miley has done so successfully.
However, the tabloids reveal where Jupiter in Libra has run her into trouble. Like any planet, the planet of luck and opportunity also has its shadow side. For Miley it rears its ugly head in relationships, seemingly personal ones. Her natal Jupiter & Venus are in a conflicting square. Making the romantic part of her life and her most intimate space in constant friction. The two energies are tightly interconnected—Libra being at odds with its ruler Venus, impacting these areas of life more powerfully.
With the queen of her chart(the energy that reigns your own) at a challenge with the natural ruler of the cosmos, one that frames our beliefs and expands our visions, the push and pull on both side is strong and straining. This can lead to extremes through out life, having the need to cater to both ends.

The off-again on-again, marriage to divorce, relationship to Hemsworth, in such a short period of time, is a perfect example. The Australian star has a stellium of planets in Capricorn. When you super-impose the two charts, their compatibility goes deep since most of his planets also sit in her 8th house of intimacy. However, he seems to exude a very Cappy cool, conservative nature. One that can conflict with her Jupiterian beliefs on creativity, with romance and having fun. It was once reported that their relationship ended after her famous controversial twerking performance with Robin Thicke at the MMV’s back in 2013. https://tinyurl.com/y77x53km
Clearly, he stays true to his serious Capricorn energy in this recent Youtube clip when Cyrus tries to grind on him and he refuses to play along.

Uranus closely involved with the mess means a constant need for change, an unpredictability in Cyrus’s love nature. She can also be too idealistic or ambitious when it comes to intimate bonds, as the dreamy energy of Neptune also has a hand in matters of love. With Venus in Capricorn influenced by Neptune, and natally squared by Jupiter in Libra, it can mean great expectations in relationships, a tendency Cyrus is likely to express.
Along with Libra, Venus also rules the 7th house of relationships. This activates the cluster of planets in that area of life.
Transformative and Evolutionary Road
The Moon, Sun, Mercury and Pluto! Pluto conjuncts her moon in Scorpio in a 3 degree orb. When triggered it can get emotionally intense for Cyrus, which can erupt in defence, in an-all-or-nothing mode. It not only sets off her emotions but also her words, thoughts, her soul being, reactions influencing her inner and outer world (The Sun, Moon, Mercury).
If there is anything to know about Pluto, it is its perpetual influence in our lives. She will experience the constant shaking, evolution from the depths of her emotions, it can sometimes feel like she is endlessly on crisis mode, whenever these planets get triggered. If it wasn’t for that trine with Saturn in Aquarius at the top of her chart (for the world to see) being in gracious and diplomatic relations with Jupiter in Libra in her romantic and creative house, the tremors and depths of her emotions could easily swallow her into the abyss of her shadows. Instead, she has been stamped with luck and given the opportunity and outlet to express her inner turmoils through fame and music. She shares her trials in love and heartbreak through her craft and on a social media front. “One is the loneliest number.” She admits on the Vanity Fair interview. (1)

The personal crisis turned musical material goes deeper than the strategies of a marketing team or the formulaic evolutions of a child star transformed into a sexually-ridden 20-something adolescent. According to her natal chart, the metamorphosis reads authentic.
Yet, despite her inner transformation benefiting & securing her outer world, it likely puts her intimate life and self-identity in a tight corner. With all her 7th house planets opposing her ascendent in Taurus, it can be another layer of conflict, a tug of war between the comforts of her self-identity (Taurus ascendent) and the inevitable relationship lessons and overhauls(Moon, Mercury, Pluto conjunct her 7th house of relationships). Her own needs versus the needs of others affecting her throughout life on a very deep and profound level with strong Scorpio, Plutonic energy involved.
But the Sun always rises.
For Miley, it rises in the lucky and optimistic Sagittarius sign. It helps brighten the darker shades of her personal relationships. The Sun in astrology symbolizes our soul, the sign we grow into as we mature. In a way, it becomes her own parting of the 7th house sea, as she develops the open-mindedness of the sign through her North Node in her concentrated relationship house.
The North Node symbolizes our soul mission in life, reflecting the sign it sits in the moment we were born tells us the energy we need to develop to find the most satisfaction. Depending on a personal chart, it can be a difficult journey to navigate. But, Miley Cyrus seems to be on an exploratory Sagittarius road, going into the flow of her relationships, expanding on it, the depths, letting what doesn’t work go and embracing the newness of her evolution take the helm.

When she was married to Hemsworth, she identified herself as being queer in a hetero relationship in a Cosmopolitan article. Her social media posts immediately after their recent break-up was serene compared to the music videos—released after their first separation— that seem retaliating in nature.
“Her explanation comes weeks after their separation was announced, which she said: “Ever evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers.” https://tinyurl.com/y9uyopat
Seemingly her way of showing deeper acceptance to the necessary changes. The rays of her crystal blue eyes reflecting new horizons she must reach in order to realize and transform the very depths of self-identity & worth, creativity, love and relationships.
“The reason that people get married sometimes can be old-fashioned, but I think the reason we got married isn’t old-fashioned—I actually think it’s kind of New Age. We’re redefining, to be fucking frank, what it looks like for someone that’s a queer person like myself to be in a hetero relationship. A big part of my pride and my identity is being a queer person. What I preach is: People fall in love with people, not gender, not looks, not whatever. What I’m in love with exists on almost a spiritual level. It has nothing to do with sexuality. Relationships and partnerships in a new generation—I don’t think they have so much to do with sexuality or gender. Sex is actually a small part, and gender is a very small, almost irrelevant part of relationships.” (1)
