Sagittarius in Astrology: The Guru Spirit

Sagittarius in Astrology: The adventures taken, the travels sought out—whether philosophical  or geographically bound, the energy applies the expanded vision into wisdom

Sagittarius in Astrology Adventures Taken Wisdom Brought BackWise, optimistic and spontaneous are qualities inherent in the Sagittarius energy. The archer is always up for a good laugh and a good time. It is a charismatic and social energy that constantly has its sights on the next adventure.

The Sagittarians, along with the Geminis, can brighten up a room by connecting to others with social ease. They can flex in different cultural atmospheres, are genuinely interested in the myriad of thinking and philosophical talks, quenching their thirst for variety. Yet, simultaneously, the constant thirst can turn bloated, stretching them far from their core balance.

In its far journeys, both vulnerability and strength exist. On the one hand, it is inherent, the fuel to its fire energy. Sagittarian’s learn the ways of the other, understand various ways of thinking and being, expanding their views into the bigger picture.

On the other hand, travelling to both ends of the earth on different planes of thought becomes polarizing. The big picture is only good when you know where you fit in. The Sagittarius energy can potentially lose itself in absorbing grand views. It can lead to a sense of false guruship. In other words, the journey turns the energy into wisdom or obstinacy. Either way, they return with knowledge and a perspective that determines whether they have gained wisdom fit for the Guru Spirit.

The lower vibrating Sag has two main parts, operating from two different ends. On one hand, the far-reaching visions of the archer can make them forget about the things in between. On the mundane level, it neglects to cross its t’s and dot its i’s. Always looking for something new, something exciting, never really sitting on one thing, sweeping life in broad strokes, this makes the Sagittarius impractical and careless.

On the spiritual level, the view is through a pin-sized hole, vast as it is, ironically, it believes it has reached a place of absolute truth—a connection to the broad strokes and unable to see its personal truth as a band integral to the grand colorful series of the whole. The view turns stubborn, with a low vibration of arrogance and self-righteousness. The Sag sees nothing but its own grand vision.

When the Sag rides on higher frequencies, the adventures taken, the travels sought out—whether philosophical or geographically bound, it applies that expanded vision into wisdom. The Sag guru returns enlightened, sprite. It left as the Fool symbolized in the Tarot Deck. With the knowledge attained in view, the Sagittarius energy continues in its flexible nature, flitting about and open to vibrational currents as they flow, which circulates harmony, excitement and optimism.

The difference now is that they have returned with the wisdom of the Temperance tarot card, balancing two ends; the energy can renounce its truth for something bigger, brighter or different from itself. The Spirit of the Guru gains wisdom from seeing both ends exist, in all corners, and from each direction, within and without, knowing the prism of perception bends in different lights.
