Scorpio in Astrology: The Super Healer
Scorpio in Astrology is symbolic of the 3 glyphs: Scorpio, Eagle, Phoenix. A transformative sign from trauma, healing and guiding others to their truth.

You know you’re in the presence of strong Scorpio energy by the intensity of their eyes, so penetrative it’s often called the death stare. That laser-like glare can feel as if you’ve been injected with venom–and don’t get it twisted; it sometimes turns into an actual sting, but for the most part, the fixation is more about what’s simmering deep within.
No other sign is as brooding in emotion as the sign of Scorpio. Emotions that dive deep can take a lifetime to discover how far the drop goes, where it comes from, or why it gurgles from below.
The constellation of Scorpio forms the symbolic nature of the critter itself. Evasive and small, it usually roams in dark corners and isn’t known for open battles; it sits in the shadows and can appear out of nowhere, attacking with its deathly venom when you least expect it.
Scorpios aren’t known to wage wars until instigated or provoked. Sensing the dregs within subconsciously keeps them occupied or closed off. There is also this sixth sense about their powers. Lurking in the dark, unaware of its true nature, fearing and avoiding its use unless necessary.
The tiny size of a scorpion, its deadly poison, says much about its sensitive nature and how much protection is necessary–all rooted in what stirs beneath.
The sign is also associated with karma in two ways:
- It carries past traumas, either from past lives or childhood. Being a feminine sign, the response is to internalize. The combination of their sensitive nature and past experience—if you ask those with strong Scorpio, Pluto or 8th house energy in their chart–usually comes in the form of crisis. Constant crises are thematic in their lives. Wonder why Scorpios tend to want to control the situation? The fluctuation and upheavals experienced are part of it, wanting to control what is possible. In other words, subconscious damage control.
These dramatic upsets jab the Scorpio through lessons and trials so to give light to the journey inwards. Despite the constant blows and devastation, decades can pass without ever really going to the source of the problem. Avoidance or ignorance brings about subconscious reactions and shadier, lower vibrations that echo internally. Deep hurt and pain festering into the low vibes of Scorpio include jealousy, resentment, grudges, vindictiveness, manipulations and, to the extreme, cruelty and death. It is a vicious cycle acted out, perpetuating innate distrust, oiled from powers of penetration, born from experience. Warning bells that continually go off.
Having to be able to see others for who they truly are, their motives, and their agenda brings about suspicion and paranoia in the Scorpio. Problematic, being that they only see one side—or choose to—as a fixed modality.
Often, the case is they aren’t seeing the situation for what it is or the person for what they are, not seeing it in its current state, INSTEAD looking at a rearview mirror. Motivated and reacting subconsciously, the sensitive Scorpio senses its intense skeletal wells that require breath and light.
- Suppressing and dodging what has been rumbling internally also causes the vicious cycle of self-infliction or self-annihilation. The second way the Scorpio is a karmic sign. It will destroy until its death. A raw, intense and powerful force that has no place to go so it moves in the way it pleases, wild and unfettered. A Scorpio crisis is at play, and it is intense enough for the sign to go to the place that has repelled them for so long.
Alas, the alchemical process begins.
By taking the long, deep journey inward, they are confronting themselves, their past, their shadows. All that has been stirring is now going to scream, bubble up, but this time, the Scorpio is in its wake. It is a point of catharsis, assessing and finally accepting it for all that it is. Once the Scorpio energy has accepted these parts of themselves, the merging will give light to deeply buried powers.
The Scorpio comes into awareness of its authenticity through its powerful nature. It attains the wisdom of its innate sensitivity, realizing its penetrative powers go hand in hand, accepting—from past catastrophes, the regenerative abilities they are also known for. The full picture is within vision now, different sides to themselves, hang-ups and all.
The power accelerates into pure wisdom and the ultimate deep understanding of others.
The experience itself, the journey, is its own nourishment. In the inner dark journey, the crisis transforms the beast into the healer.
Just as the Scorpio has the tremendous and speedy capacity in a lifetime to heal itself, it also has the superpower to become a healer to others. There is a reason why Scorpios are associated with psychology and therapy. Rising above their internal traumatic crisis, facing their darkness, their own fears and ugliness, they are now able to accept it as it is in others.
Power is now seen as being WHOLE within oneself.
Riding on high vibrations, soaring like its glyph, the eagle, the Scorpio healer becomes a guide to others down their shadowed path, pain, traumas, and shameful corners, transforming whatever is hidden and buried into truth and the person’s own superpower.
