We are now at the highest point of the chart, the 10th House. The area we build and manifest into reality, from our 6th House of work, our 2nd House resources and values, while weaving the visions of our 9th House beliefs and meaning, all for the world to witness.

As the House of ambition and career, the 10th shows what we will pursue and build on. It is where we show the world what we are made of and how we want to be acknowledged and respected, indicative of the sign at the cusp.

A watery sign at the cusp will view the 10th House based on emotional significance, purpose and depth. The fire types will want to pursue and build on something novel, expressing creative self-identity. The air types will work towards a career supporting their ideas, emphasizing communication and social interaction. The earthy elements will strive for stability and a career producing material results.

The functions of the 10th House are given more emphasis with natal planets. Accentuating focus and importance, the qualities of the planet(s) can tell us the nature of our chosen career, a specialized skill developed. Mercury indicates a career in technology, administration, or communication. With Uranus, the native can be drawn to the sciences, technology or metaphysics. Neptune inclines a person to pursue the arts, the healing field or a spiritual endeavour. Jupiter at the top of the chart can involve a career in law, publishing or teaching. Venus indicates a bent on beauty, fashion and the arts.

Being the apex of the chart, out in the open, the functions of life are under the scrutiny of the public eye. The quality of a planet indicates how we are viewed in the world, our methods of ascent, and what we eventually achieve and leave behind as legacy.

Hard work and consistency are indicated by Saturn, while also gaining eventual respect and authority. Mars shows aggression, desire and power, along with Saturn types, a person can achieve honour and accolades.  With Venus, the native can be viewed with charm, grace, which can turn into admiration. For better or worse, the formative power of Pluto can have a person written down in history. Jupiter gives great benefits and immunity to career and public image.
